SsangYong Turismo updated with new look for 2018

Huge seven-seat SsangYong Turismo MPV gains a more up to date design, and is on sale now

SsangYong has updated the Turismo MPV once again, this being the second time the Korean firm’s large seven seater has been refreshed since hitting the UK market in 2013.

This time round, the design updates are intended to bring the Turismo more in line with the firm’s latest launches, such as the new Rexton and Musso pick-up truck.

It’s a noticeable front end facelift. Fresh headlights complete with LED daytime running lights pair off against a revised front apron and a new grille, plus there is a fresh, smoother bonnet. That’s about it though – elsewhere, inside and out, the car remains unchanged from its 2015 facelift.

The range topper remains the ELX model. As standard it’s equipped with selectable all-wheel-drive, plus a seven-speed automatic gearbox.

Tech wise, it includes cruise control, parking sensors, heated front seats, plus automatic headlights and windscreen wipers. SsangYong says that the infotainment system has been updated too, and now includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, plus a reversing camera.

A 2.2-litre four-cylinder diesel remains under the bonnet, packing 176bhp and 400Nm of torque. Fuel economy ranges from 39.2mpg to 36.2mpg for the all-wheel-drive Turismo.

Elsewhere, the line-up still comprises of the basic Turismo SE and the mid-grade Turismo EX, which is available with an automatic gearbox. Prices start at £20,495 for the entry level SE car, while the range topping ELX is priced up at £25,995. The updated Turismo is on sale now.
